Benjamin Chin is an alto saxophonist and bandleader of QNA. An ardent fan of 60's-70's jazz and contemporary hip-hop, he aims to find the middle ground between the two in his playing. Zaven Embree is a pianist, singer and composer. His works focuses on bridging the gap between the foundation laid by the masters of jazz, funk, gospel, and r&b with modern technology. A proponent of the afro-futurism movement, he grew up listening to a wide range of artists from Miles Davis to James Brown, from Steely Dan to Joni Mitchell. A life long hip hop head he first found his musical voice listening to A Tribe Called Quest and Talib Kweli, and has been following that inspiration ever since. Zaven also works as a musical director and business owner in NYC.
